In 1975, during the hard times of the Pol Pot regime in Cambodia, a boy was born into a life full of struggles. His life started with sadness that would shape his entire future. When he was just two years old, his mother passed away while giving birth to his younger sister. Sadly, the baby girl did not survive, leaving the boy as the only living child. His oldest brother had also died from illness during the cruel Pol Pot regime, leaving the young boy without siblings and without a mother.
