Today, I explored the concept of Level 4 leadership, known as People Development Leadership. This stage emphasizes empowering and developing others to become leaders themselves. Leaders at this level focus on nurturing their team’s growth, creating a culture of leadership within the organization. A defining characteristic of People Development Leadership is empowerment. Leaders delegate authority and provide opportunities for team members to take on leadership roles, encouraging autonomy and decision-making. This empowerment fosters a sense of ownership and responsibility among team members. Mentorship and coaching are also crucial components of this leadership level. Leaders actively mentor and coach their team, providing guidance and support tailored to individual strengths and areas for development.
